Technical, Ethical and Legal Issues

This Section deals with the technical, ethical and legal issues raised by advances in gene technology. We work to develop policies that allow the public to benefit from these advances in genetics in line with community values and the legal system.

Recent projects include:

  • Finding out about human DNA and tissue Biobanks in WA.
  • Working with the Social and Community Research Section on the Biobank community forum
