Delivering a Healthy WA
Office of Population Health Genomics

Prevention and Translation

The Education Section works to help people understand genetics and genomics and how they relate to our health. We have a number of projects for different sections of the community. These include:

  • The Office of Population Health quarterly newsletter
  • Brochures about newborn screening, genetic testing, cancer genetics and pre-natal screening
  • The Family Health History project, including education sessions for doctors
  • Workshops for people who sit on human ethics committees at hospitals and universities

If you would like to learn more about genetics, the Basic Genetic Science and Genetic Testing pages supply some useful links.
